rolling stock is a qualitative solution

have a capacity of 596 passengers

Description
In 1994, Ferrocarrils
de la Generalitat Valenciana reintroduced
the tram in Spain as a surface Metro
service. The Valencia tram offers
high levels of comfort to passengers,
with a lower floor at the same level
as platforms which makes access fast
and safe. It is equipped with an air
conditioning system, TV stop-indicators
and a PA system for passenger service
purposes.
Metro Valencia currently
has 20 trams with a capacity of 200
passengers each (65 seated).

Description
In 2001, Metro Valencia
finished work on the refurbishment
and modernisation of 2 units from
the 3600 Series which service Line
1. The refurbishment process involved
numerous modifications, both to the
engines, which now have greater power,
and to the interior and exterior
fixtures and fittings of the carriages.
The design of the renovated units
has resulted in a considerable
transformation, incorporating
aesthetic alterations
to the bodywork which bring its
image more in line with the 3900
Series
trains that service Line 3.
The carriage interiors were subjected
to numerous alterations, leading
to improved accessibility and
passenger comfort: new seats,
support bars,
panels, lighting, etc. The refurbished
units have special areas reserved
for wheelchairs equipped with
support rails and special buttons
for requesting
stops and opening the doors.
The refurbishment of the carriage
interiors and the new seating
layout has resulted in an increase
in
the number of passengers and
each convoy
now has a capacity of 476 people
(79 seated).
The carriages are equipped
with air conditioning and have
a new
PA and
illuminated panel system for
announcing approaching stops
in advance.

Description
Metro Valencia currently
has 8 units of the 3600 Series which
service Line 1.
Their 8 engines and 16 carriages
came into service between 1982 and
1983, initially on the Jesús
- Villanueva de Castellón
line.
Each unit comprises three carriages;
the motor coach (M), trailer (R) and driving coach (RC). The length of each
carriage
is 15.25 m and the total unit measures
47.16 m. It has a total capacity
of 433 passengers (83 seated).
